What to Expect

Dear New Patient, Welcome to Camelback Sports Therapy. Thank you for choosing us. We appreciate the confidence and trust that you have placed in us. We look forward to partnering with you to address your health concerns, and we will do all we can to ensure you achieve your goals. We are located at 4455 E. Camelback Road, Suite D-155 in “The Park” business complex. We are located east of Chase Bank and directly across the street from the Village Health Club and AJ’s Fine Foods. Please park in the spaces reserved for physical therapy (next to our office) or a little further back in an unmarked space. While you are in physical therapy, we will take the time to get to know you and discuss your needs and desires. Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and bring your health insurance card and your prescription from a physician if applicable.  The Physical Therapist will perform an initial evaluation and discuss their findings with you.  The Therapist will then develop a treatment plan and schedule that you are comfortable with and which meets your specific needs. Your first visit will take approximately 90 minutes. For your convenience, we offer a private changing room and shower complete with shampoo and blowdryer. Your health is a precious gift that is a worthwhile investment. In order to help you to get the most out of your experience, I would like to share a few suggestions:

  1. Be on time and keep your appointments. Each treatment builds upon previous ones. It is important to follow through with the future care plan in order to receive maximum benefit.
  2. Do your homework. In many ways what you do at home, at work and at play affects your progress. We will offer suggestions and self-care techniques to support you on the road to your treatment goals.
  3. Give it time. As with any medical treatment, healing with physical therapy is a process, not a magic pill. It takes time and is influenced by many factors. Over time, things should improve and if necessary, we will adjust your treatment plan as we proceed. Changes to your condition can happen faster than anticipated, so enjoy them!
  4. Keep a positive attitude and EXPECT positive results. As we follow through on your treatment plan, look for signs of improvement and take encouragement from them. Build an attitude that expects positive results and know that profound healing is possible. Your belief and expectation has an incredibly strong influence on your body, and is a key factor in healing.

Please fill out the medical history forms and bring them with you to your first appointment along with a list of any medications that you taking. Our office is truly a neighborhood practice that is based on word-of-mouth referrals. We take pride in our hands-on approach to physical therapy.  We welcome you and look forward to serving you. Sincerely, The Team at Camelback Sports Therapy.
