What is a Concussion?

Concussions can be caused by impacts either to the head or body most commonly during sports or car accidents. The most common signs and symptoms of concussion are headache, pressure in the head, neck pain, nausea or vomiting, dizziness, blurred vision, balance problems, sensitivity to light or sound, feeling slowed down or in a fog, difficulty concentrating, amnesia fatigue, drowsiness, changes in personality including irritability, emotional, sadness, anxiety, and difficulty sleeping. These symptoms can persist for a few hours up to a few months.
